ExUIDPS Head Receives Humanitarian Coordinator on End of His Term
In Yemen, the head of the Executive Unit for Internally Displaced Persons, Mr. Najib Al-Saadi, received the United Nations Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, David Gressley, on the occasion of the end of his term.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed priority issues that are important to work on in the future, primarily the need to build the capacity of government entities to be able to carry out their duties in providing services during the coming period, as everyone is moving towards durable solutions, as Yemen is one of sixteen countries that the United Nations has chosen to implement durable solutions.
Al-Saadi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Gressley for his efforts during his term of office and wished him success in his future endeavors.
For his part, Mr. Gressley expressed his thanks to the Executive Unit for its role and praised the level of coordination and interaction between it and humanitarian partners, confirming that this cooperation will continue and that he will place all the points raised by the Unit on the next humanitarian coordinator.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Saadi, on behalf of the Unit’s staff, honored Mr. David Gressley in recognition of his humanitarian efforts during his time in Yemen.
