Exuidps heads Receives the High Commissioner and His Deputy

Mr. Najib Al-Sa’adi, Head of the IDP Executive Unit in Yemen, received Mr. Marin Kajdomchai, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Yemen, and Mr. Yasser Waris, Deputy Representative of the UNHCR and Head of Operations in the Liberated Areas.

During the meeting, they discussed priority issues that need to be worked on in the future, most notably the need to build the capacity of the Executive Unit to enable it to carry out its tasks and provide services in the coming period.

Al-Sa’adi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Marin and Mr. Yasser Waris for the efforts of the UNHCR and its representatives during the period of partnership with the Executive Unit.

For his part, Mr. Marin thanked the Executive Unit for its role and stated that the partnership with the Executive Unit is a positive and strategic partnership, stressing that this partnership will contribute to developing and improving the work mechanism.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Eric, Protection Cluster Coordinator, and Mr. Moamar Alwan, Field Officer, from the UNHCR side, and Mr. Abdo Mahdi, Director of Branches and Camps Department, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Director of Information Systems, Dr. Abdul Nasser Naqeeb, Director of Planning and Permanent Solutions, and Mr. Karam Sultan, Project Manager, from the Executive Unit side.
