Fire in Biyahan Displaced Camp Caused by Fireworks
A fire erupted in the Al-Wasat Displaced Persons Camp in the Biyahan directorate of Shabwah governorate on April 30, 2024, due to children’s fireworks.
According to the report of the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in Yemen, the fire resulted in complete damage to two shelters, the loss of all non-food items and relief materials for the displaced persons, and left two households (13 individuals) homeless.
