Yemen Displacement Movement Report April 2024
The Executive Unit for Internally Displaced Persons in Yemen (EXUIDPS) has documented the displacement of (1,283) families comprising (6,963) individuals from 17 different governorates during the period from January 1st to April 30th, 2024.
According to the monthly report of the Executive Unit, for April 2024, displaced families were distributed across 10 governorates.
Additionally, the Executive Unit recorded (226) families consisting of (1,331) individuals, including (183) newly displaced families with (1,128) individuals and (43) families with (203) individuals displaced for the second time between April 1st and April 30th, 2024.
Most of these families were displaced from Al Hudaydah Governorate (31%), Marib Governorate (15%), and Taiz Governorate (14%).
The report indicates that (157) families comprising (766) individuals left their current displacement areas during the same period, with some returning to their original areas while others relocated or were displaced for the second time.
Additionally, the Executive Unit for Internally Displaced Persons tracked (101) families comprising (519) individuals who returned to their original areas in April 2024.
