YEMEN Displacement Tracking Report August 2024
From 01 January to 31 August 2024, the Executive Unit for IDPs monitored (2,396) households (12,859 individuals) who were displaced from 15 different governorates and they were distributed among 6 governorates.
The Executive Unit for IDPs also recorded (376) households (2,036 individuals), including (253) households (1,475 individuals) who were newly displaced and (123) households (561 individuals) were displaced for the second time between 01 – 31 August 2024. Most of these households were displaced from Al Hodeidah Governorate (28%), Taiz Governorate (15%), Marib Governorate (13%) and between (1 – 7%) of the households were displaced from the governorates of Ad Dali, Ibb, Hajjah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Al Jawf, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Sanaa City.
For the same period 01 – 31 August 2024, it was also recorded that (101) households (570 individuals) left their current areas of displacement some of them returned back to their original areas, others moved or were displaced for a second time.
The Executive Unit for IDPs also tracked (91) households (528 individuals) returned to their places of origin in August.
