Yemen – Displacement Tracking Report 2024
From 01 January to 30 September 2024, the Executive Unit for IDPs monitored (2,658) households (14,314) individuals who were displaced from 20 different governorates and they were distributed among 9 governorates.
The Executive Unit for IDPs also recorded (262) households (1,455) individuals, including (247) households (1,379) individuals who were newly displaced and (15) households (76) individuals were displaced for the second time between 01 – 30 September 2024. Most of these households were displaced from Al Hodeidah Governorate (44%), Marib Governorate (11%), Taiz Governorate (7%), and between (1 – 6%) of the households were displaced from the governorates of Hajjah, Shabwah, Ibb, Al Jawf, Dhamar, Sanaa, Al Mahwit, Al Bayda, Raymah, Sanaa City, Sadah, Abyan, Amran, and Lahj.
For the same period 01 – 30 September 2024, it was also recorded that (51) households (199) individuals left their current areas of displacement. Some of them returned back to their original areas, others moved or were displaced for a second time.
The Executive Unit for IDPs also tracked (35) households (129) individuals who returned to their places of origin in September.
