Yemen – Displacement Tracking Report October 2024
From January 1 to October 31, 2024, the Executive Unit for IDPs monitored (3,056) households (16,579) individuals who were displaced from 21 different governorates and were distributed among 10 governorates.
The Executive Unit for IDPs also recorded (398) households (2,265) individuals, including (335) households (1,959) individuals who were newly displaced and (63) households (306) individuals who were displaced for the second time between October 1 and 31, 2024.
Most of these households were displaced from Al Hodeidah Governorate (45%), Taiz Governorate (13%), Ibb Governorate (7%), and between 1-5% of the households were displaced from the governorates of Sadah, Marib, Sanaa, Hajjah, Al Bayda, Shabwah, Al Jawf, Ad Dali, Al Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Sanaa City, Abyan, and Lahj.
For the same period (October 1-31, 2024), it was also recorded that (142) households (693) individuals left their current areas of displacement, some of them returned back to their original areas, while others moved or were displaced for a second time.
The Executive Unit for IDPs also tracked (140) households (684) individuals who returned to their places of origin in October.
