Statement – Statement of EXUIDPS on the developments of Harib Marib
The Executive Unit for IDPs Camp Management Marib Governorate Office follows the rapid-evolving developments and the success achieved by Giants Brigades and its supporters from the national army forces and popular resistance baked by Arab Coalition and the declaration of liberating Harib District from Houthi terrorist militia that imposed tight blockade on the district and used civilians as human shields leading to worsening the humanitarian situation in the district.
We, The Executive Unit for IDPs Camp Management- Marib Governorate Office declare that after liberating Harib District from Houthi terrorist militia, two main roads (Marib-Safer-Harib) and (Shabwah-Bayhan-Harib) are opened for citizens and pass food items, NFIs supply and relief materials to the district.
Hence, we call citizens and residents in the district to adhere to instructions issued by demining teams. We call citizens to not to use roads and places that are not declared free and safe of landmines and war remnants especially the roads and places that have not been checked by demining teams. I t is worth mentioning that Houthi terrorist militia planted landmines in every place they entered.
The Executive Unit for IDPs Camp Management calls upon all humanitarian organizations to respond quickly to provide emergency assistance to the residents of Harib District in which 16000 households are residing in the district as well as providing technical support to institutions providing services as to restore their role in providing services to the district.
The Executive Unit for IDPs Camp Management, at the time of issuing this statement, confirms its readiness (its teams) to facilitate the access of any humanitarian assistance or relief assistance to the district.
In this connection, the Executive Unit for IDPs Camp Management- Marib Governorate Office presents its thank and gratitude to Giants Brigades and its supporters from the national army forces and popular resistance for their response with the humanitarian efforts and declaring their readiness to participate in normalizing the situation and restoring normal life in the liberated districts including Harib District.
